GRANTS AND BURSARIES FROM THE JEAN SHANKS FOUNDATION
The Jean Shanks Foundation offers grants and bursaries for medical research and related projects and to support medical education. All grants and bursaries are made at the discretion of the Trustees of the Jean Shanks Foundation - no grants will be made for financial hardship or any project not having a significant pathology research content.
The Foundation has changed the criteria for the grants in November 2017. The Trustees considered that the Foundation would have a greater impact if it extended its partnership with The Pathological Society which would allow both parties to make bigger and more effective grants to ensure the further development of pathology
