Professor Adrienne Flanagan
Adrienne Flanagan is currently the head of the academic pathology department at University College London, and is Professor of musculoskeletal pathology, and the lead molecular, and sarcoma pathologist at UCL Cancer Institute. Adrienne is an honorary consultant histopathologist at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, where she was previously the joint medical.
Adrienne studied medicine and qualified from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1981 and then trained as a histopathologist in London obtaining her fellowship from the Royal College of Pathologists in 1988, and gained a PhD in 1990.
Adrienne is on the editorial board of the Journal of Pathology, on the scientific advisory board of the Chordoma Foundation, USA and is joint lead of the International Cancer Genome Consortium bone project.
